Project Management

Management of Software development cycles can be complex. Many factors militate against swift, efficient, focussed development of the desired product. This adds cost and disrupts timescales.

IT Quorum is managed entirely by experienced contractors with over 30 years combined experience of successful software development. More importantly the team brings with it experience of what can go wrong to help you anticipate any issues early on.

The IT Quorum strategy delivers regular structured communication between the Project Manager and our customer. Typically as a standard we provide,

IT Quorum provides the technical knowledge required to create the software, whilst communicating effectively with the right individual(s) in your business who provide the business knowledge to keep the software requirements focused on your business needs.

Each deliverable will be assigned a number and an owner - a responsible individual within IT Quorum and a skilled individual within your business responsible for approving the outcome. Approval of development deliverables by your staff is vital to the process.
Only you know if software is achieving what your business needs. If necessary we will produce extra GUI functionality to allow your staff to test deliverables where the functionality is difficult to test or demonstrate.

Each deliverable will be priced separately and created in the appropriate sequence. Once a module has been written it must be examined and approved by the responsible person within your organisation and any excursions from the desired functionality corrected by IT Quorum.
It is often the case that the user only realises the functionality they really want after development has begun. This continuous unit-by-unit approval is vital to enforce the communication and feedback that keeps development focused on your business needs. This approach keeps you in control at all times.

The total project cost is the sum of the costs of each deliverable.
Each deliverable will be invoiced as each module is accepted.

No development work will be carried out on succeeding modules until the earlier parts are accepted.
This way you see your solution being created as your budget is spent, enhancing your sense of security and control of the result.
