As software contractors we set up the IT Quorum in 2003 in response to a perceived lack of skill set coverage for certain types of contract. We came to this conclusion after many years working as freelance software contractors.
Typically a contract would require two or three key skills and perhaps two other ancillary (nice to have) skills but potential candidates would only be able to satisfy a subset of these. This deficit manifests itself in many ways, usually all to the detriment of the client.
Due to our access to a wider skill set spectrum this problem never arises. The benefit of this is that clients are guaranteed an optimal service for a given contract specification.

The company is based in Glasgow and is registered in Scotland (Company Reg Number: 252512). The founding directors have accrued many years of experience in the commercial software and engineering industry between them, they are,

Brian Docherty Bsc (Physics)
Brian has had many years experience in the field of computer systems and programming. During that time he has worked on a wide range of projects from low level chip programming to high level databsase systems programming, on a variety of machines and operating system platforms. He has also worked abroad on a number of occasions and is a German speaker.

Tom Roberts Bsc (Applied Physics), Msc (Production Engineering)
Tom has a broad background in business management as well as extensive expereince in design and development of both software and hardware products. Tom has also worked abroad and is also a German speaker.

We have recently been joined by James Brannan as finance manager, Jim brings a wealth of entrepreneurial and financial skills to the team gleaned over a number of years working in the industry.
