As software contractors we set up the IT Quorum in 2003 in response to a
perceived lack of skill set coverage for certain types of contract. We came
to this conclusion after many years working as freelance software contractors.
Typically a contract would require two or three key skills and perhaps
two other ancillary (nice to have) skills but potential candidates would only be able to
satisfy a subset of these. This deficit manifests itself in many ways, usually all to the
detriment of the client.
Due to our access to a wider skill set spectrum this problem
never arises. The benefit of this is that clients are guaranteed an optimal service for a given
contract specification.

Brian Docherty Bsc (Physics)
Brian has had many years experience in the field of computer systems and programming. During that time he has worked on a wide range of projects from low level chip programming to high level databsase systems programming, on a variety of machines and operating system platforms. He has also worked abroad on a number of occasions and is a German speaker.

Tom Roberts Bsc (Applied Physics), Msc (Production Engineering)
Tom has a broad background in business management as well as extensive expereince in design and development of both software and hardware products. Tom has also worked abroad and is also a German speaker.
We have recently been joined by James Brannan as finance manager, Jim brings a wealth of entrepreneurial and financial skills to the team gleaned over a number of years working in the industry.
